About Houdinee

This is my Dog Houdinee. His a Dalmatian mixed. He is 6 years old. We've had him for 1 year and a half now. I want to be as 'Transparent' as I can be with this Post. No sugar coating because I really want my dog to end up with the 'right owner' for him. When we got him last July 2024, he was 5 years old and according to his previous owner, his been passed on with 5 different owners prior to his previous owner and he was only 5 years old. I will admit he has some issue and I will discuss them thoroughly. 1st issue is he gets aggressive with strangers and people his not familiar with, because he is a dominant male and his very territorial. He did have a history of biting someone before. So if your someone that has people over all the time or has parties and gatherings all the time. You might think twice about getting him. 2nd issue, He has problems in getting along with other Dogs, especially male dogs and other dominant dogs. I have another female Sheltie dog, she gets along well with Houdinee ONLY because she is a very submissive dog. 3rd Issue, he has some aggressiveness when it comes to Feeding time and foods. He would sometimes jump over the counter and snatch foods while I'm cooking so I had to make sure all foods are out of his reach when his around. 4th issue is his very energetic and hyper which doesn't match with me and my husband's lifestyle because we're both very homebody and does not have an active lifestyle. So ergo, He is not ideal for a family with toddlers and small kids. He will match someone who has an Active lifestyle because his energetic and hyper. Preferably someone who is knowledgeable and had experience training and taming aggressive dogs. I can assure you he has positive traits and you will love him to death after having him for a couple of months. His very smart and he understands and responds to commands and tones better than my other dog. His very loyal but he just needs some time to warm up with someone. Once he warms up to you, he is very sweet and cuddly and will become your protector and best friend.
