Meet Gus! Estimated Date of Birth: 1/6/2026 Gus may only have three legs, but he has four times the heart. This adorable boy is believed to be a Lab/Red Heeler mix - a wonderful blend of two exceptional breeds. From the Labrador side, he's expected to be affectionate, loyal, eager to please, and wonderful with families. Labradors are known for their gentle nature and deep love for their people. From the Red Heeler (Australian Cattle Dog) side, Gus will likely carry intelligence, determination, and a fun, energetic spark. Heelers are incredibly smart, quick learners, and fiercely devoted to their families. Gus experienced an unfortunate accident at his finder's home that resulted in the loss of his front leg. The good news is he is healing beautifully, and it is not slowing him down one bit. He runs, plays, explores, and loves just like any other puppy - he just does it with a little extra character and resilience. Tripod puppies adapt remarkably well. They do not dwell on what they've lost, and they don't see themselves as different. They are strong, capable, and often form incredibly deep bonds with their families. Owning a three-legged dog doesn't mean less - it often means more love, more inspiration, and more appreciation for every milestone. Gus is expected to grow into a smart, trainable, loyal companion with playful puppy energy and a big heart. Whether he's learning new tricks, going on adventures, or snuggling up at the end of the day, this brave little boy is ready to give his whole heart to his forever family. Three legs. One incredible spirit. Endless love.
