About Lily (Coton de Tulear)

Not a Lhasa Apso but actually a Coton de Tulear(not a category for them available) about same size however. She is 6 yrs old about 17lbs current with all shots. Was my mother's dog but my mother passed recently. Used to get along with cats but now is aggressive slightly (I believe 1 of mine scratched her and now is fearful of them). My mother put out puppy pads because she couldn't always get up in time to take her outside and shes gotten lazy so will have to be weaned from this behavior(she has also been living alone mostly). Likes toys and occasionally gets zoomies. Mostly calm and loving. Just got groomed ,will have tear stains and is clipped short right now (shorter than pictured) picture is an in between coat can get longer, fur is normally longer not quite to floor but definitely fuller. Needs brushing regularly or taken to a groomer, will get matted if ignored.She gets embarrassed if fully shaved and will hide for weeks at a time till it grows out somewhat. She needs a new person to love her and give her attention which has seriously been lacking. I have cats and big dogs which I am afraid will hurt her. Barks at trucks cats and chickens but usually quiet. Gets along with small dogs and probably big dogs that are calm. Could adapt to a cat that isn't aggressive if properly introduced. Hides when kids visit but never really been around them. Probably best in a quiet home with 1 or 2 people. Please call or text with any questions or more pictures.
