URGENT FOR MILO! Meet Milo ID: A1892503. Milo is a very sweet, slightly shy German Shepherd mix who is just waiting for a calm, patient person to see the wonderful dog he truly is. He's 3 years old, weighs 62 pounds, and came into the shelter as a stray on December 18. His kennel card says 'head shy,' but that simply means he appreciates slow, respectful handling, approaching from under the chin instead of over his head and giving him a moment to feel safe. The shelter environment is loud, stressful, and overwhelming. Many sensitive dogs struggle in this setting. With time, kindness, and consistency, Milo will truly blossom into a confident, devoted companion. Despite his nervousness, Milo is a total sweetheart. He did well with his kennel mate (Maximus), a neutered male about his size and they got along beautifully. That says so much about his gentle nature and ability to bond. Milo doesn't need perfection. He needs patience. He needs someone willing to go slow. In return, he'll give unwavering loyalty, quiet companionship, and a heart that will attach deeply once he feels safe.
