TO BE EUTHANIZED This post is going out with a prayer.A real, desperate prayer that the right angel sees Annie tonight and says 'I'll take her.' Sweet Annie is something special. If you watch her videos, you will see it instantly the light in her eyes, the joy she carries, the way she checks in with her people like she just wants to be loved a bright light !!! But right now, Annie is first on the list. She is a senior.She has a possible medical issue. And because shelter space is limited, she is at risk of leaving in a black garbage bag instead of walking out the front door into love. A rescue is ready to SAVE her but we urgently need a foster or adopter. All medical will be covered. She has some swollen lymph nodes , further testing needs to be done to rule out infection or possible lymphoma , all medical will be paid by the rescue. She moves like a dog half her age. She has life in her. She wants to live. And she deserves to live out her golden years . Annie is 11 years old. She was found tied to a pole in the freezing cold while her owner walked away without looking back on a snowy day !! Imagine the confusion. The heartbreak. The betrayal. She cried and barked as the only person she knew disappeared into the night. She has already endured the unthinkable. Yet she still loves. She adores people. She loves pets, treats, and walks. She trots happily on leash. She checks in to make sure you're still there. She handles affection beautifully and has polite manners with other dogs. Shelter life makes her a little anxious, but give her patience, kindness, and a soft place to land and she will blossom. She is a gentle, tender-hearted soul who lives in the moment. She is not acting sick. She is not giving up. Please don't let her story end like this. Please don't let Annie die because of space. Look at that face . If you can foster or adopt even short term you could be the reason she gets to spend her golden years wrapped in love instead of fear.
