About Pilot

Pilot is a 1-year-old, neutered male Retriever mix with a beautiful chestnut coat and an even more beautiful personality. This sweet boy is the total package-gentle, well-mannered, and ready to find his forever home! Pilot is wonderful with kids and has a calm, easygoing nature that makes him a joy to be around. He's very clean in his kennel and not destructive with stuffed toys or blankets. He is fully potty-trained and takes pride in keeping his space tidy. He's a smart cookie, too! Pilot knows: Sit Stay Come Leave it Drop it Focus (especially when treats are involved!) Off / Get He's easily redirected and eager to please. He LOVES treats and always takes them gently. When he gets excited, he calms down quickly and looks to his person for guidance. Pilot absolutely adores being petted and loved on-affection is his favorite thing in the world. He enjoys playtime and is a big goofball at heart, though he's still figuring out how toys work. Watching him learn is part of his charm! He has no food or toy possessiveness whatsoever-you can be near his bowl while he's eating and he couldn't care less. He's relaxed and friendly with both male and female dogs and does not react if another dog growls or snaps at him. During his cat test, he was completely calm and happy to share space with a loose cat in an office setting. Pilot is a gentle soul with a happy heart. If you're looking for a loving, well-mannered companion who will soak up all the pets and return them with loyalty and goofball charm, Pilot may just be your perfect match.
