Meet Skyla: A Resilient Girl Ready for Her Solo Spotlight! (San Antonio/Bexar County) Skyla found her way to us on a cold December night, and since then, she has made an incredible transformation. After discovering her previous owners were unable to care for her, we took her in and have spent the last few months showing her what it means to be a beloved family pet since the previous owners stated they could no longer care for her. She is a medium-sized dog, weighing approximately 40 pounds. She is spayed, microchipped and has her first round of shots. She was born 03/18/2025. Her Progress: Skyla arrived with no training and some skin irritations, but she is now flea-free, and has mastered the 'indoor life!' She is: %BD' Crate trained: She willingly goes into her crate to rest. %BD' Smart & Eager: She knows her name, sits on command, and offers her paw on command. %BD' Communicative: She is even learning to ring a bell by the door to ask to go outside! The Ideal Home: Skyla is a classic Husky with a high prey drive. While she has improved immensely with her manners, she is looking for a very specific home environment to thrive: %BD' No Cats or Small Animals: Her prey drive is strong, and she needs a feline-free home. %BD' Only Dog: While she was initially okay with our resident dog, she has decided she prefers being the 'only child.' She wants all your love to herself! %BD' Managed Mealtime: She has shown some food guarding in the past. She now knows she must 'sit' for her bowl, but her new family should continue this structured routine. Skyla is a beautiful, resilient soul who just needs a home where she can be the center of attention. Could you be her person? Rehoming fee: $50
