About Otis

Otis is about 2 1/2 years old, he is a whippet mix. Otis is the absolute sweetest boy in the entire world, his personality resembles a whippet perfectly. He gets zoomies and then wants to sleep and snuggle the rest of the day. Otis is the perfect work from home buddy that will curl up on your lap and snore until it's time for dinner. He is dog reactive but it can be trained through easily with good snacks. He is good with dogs with a very slow introduction, he comes off quite strong with new dogs since he wants to play immediately but not all dogs enjoy this. He doesnt bark very often and will snooze in his kennel while youre gone, as long as it's a quiet comfy spot. He really enjoys beds, pillows and will tuck himself into blankets. He does have a strong prey drive so cats may not be the best fit. He is a sensitive boy and will need a patient, kind family. He would also not do well in a dog park situation and is leash reactive to other animals, we've been working with him and he is a quick learner. Also being a whippet he does enjoy his sweaters. Otis is about 30-35lbs. He does have a minor heart murmur but I've taken him to 2 vets and they've both agreed it's insignificant however, still something to look out for.
