About 'TEDDY BEAR'

Courtesy Posting: Help, emergency! SAN RAMON, CA (N CAL) - 'TEDDY BEAR'- a petite, adorable purebred looking chow boy found dumped�'�| we need a foster, foster to adopt and or rescue to step in/up ASAP so he does not end up at the Contra Costa County shelter where he will likely not have long. A local animal group contacted us about a shy but sweet chow found in an area known as a dumping ground and where many coyotes are. A kind person took him in temporarily, but can only hold him a few more days due to having several of their own dogs. We are in desperate need of a foster, or even temporary foster in N Cal, and or a rescue so they do not need to take him to the county shelter where he will be at great risk and probably not made adoptable due to being shy. A foster-to-adopt situation would also be considered. We have someone who can sponsor vaccinations, neuter & grooming. We can also raise additional funds for a rescue group, but a foster is also needed so he has a place to go. Chow experience would be ideal, as he is shy and wary of strangers like many chows, but warming up already. This boy is only 41 lbs, believed to be 4-5 years old, walks a bit slow, may have a urinary tract infection, some dental tartar, and is badly matted. We have several nice videos of this adorable fluff, and are trying to get him dog tested. Time is of the essence. He cannot be sent to someone however unless you are backed by a rescue group.
