About Rufus

Hi, I'm Rufus. As you can see from my picture, I love to help out with household chores. My foster mom says that it is no coincidence that my name rhymes with goofus and doofus!! She says it because I'm a total goof ball. I'm just happy all the time and I do a lot of goofy things. I have long legs and kind of look like a giraffe when I run. I love to chase and be chased by other dogs. I'm just happy and love everyone. I have had cat siblings and loved them. Everyone who meets me LOVES me. I'm quite the character. I'm a champion snuggler. At night if you want a warm body next to you, I'm your guy. I'm a beautiful, tall, tri-colored hound. Like most hounds, I'm a total sweetheart. I'm about 5-6 years and about 55ish lbs. I'm a little overweight right now because I love to eat! I'm already neutered and up to date on shots. I was initially rescued from a shelter in NC. My previous owner was not allowed to have pets where we were living. So I had to go. Then I got adopted to a great home where I lived for about 4 years. Unfortunately, due to no fault of my own, the family could no longer keep me. Thanks for looking at Rufus...a victim of a divorce, how sad.
