About Sassy

This precious little lady appeared suddenly in my yard and my dogs allowed her to stay. I live on a country road and I frequently have abandoned dogs appear at my residence. Since my dogs are outside dogs and run free, they are usually successful in convincing the drop-off animal to move on. Since Sassy is still very young and playful and was probably just coming out of a period of 'heat' the males were interested in her. She stayed and ate her fill of their food and was determined to make this her new home. I have 2 rescue dogs left and I had decided not rescue any more, so I had her spayed with the intent of finding her a home. Days passed then weeks and she became part of the pack. She is the sweetest, most loving dog I have ever had, but she has obviously been with an owner who had no idea how to train a dog. She is very intrusive and will not leave me alone when I go outside. I am 80 and not as physically fit as I would like and I fear that she will eventually make me fall. And even though I love this little ball of energy, I just can't risk keeping her. Not just any home will do. She needs a home where she can share the love she has for people and where she can have the exercise she needs to work off her energy (perhaps a farm situation). I hope to find someone who can train her to have the good manners that will make her the wonderful companion she can be. She loves children and she loves other dogs Everyone who interacts with her loves her immediately.
