About Jansen

Meet Jansen, a 1-year-old Beagle/Heeler mix weighing about 25 lbs, with a tender heart, a playful spirit, and so much potential waiting to shine. Before coming to the shelter, Jansen lived outdoors on a chain and missed out on many of the comforts and experiences most dogs take for granted. Because of that, indoor life, routines, and busy environments are still new to him - and he's learning, step by step, that the world can be safe and predictable. Jansen is now in a foster home, where he made wonderful progress in just a few days. Once settled, his sweet and affectionate nature really came through. He enjoys attention, follows his people around for pets or playtime, and loves interactive games like fetch and tug. Jansen loves other dogs and would thrive with a playful canine companion who enjoys engaging and interactive play.
