About Gizmo

Gizmo is a 7-year old miniature dachshund with a loyal, affectionate personality. He bonds closely with adults and thrives in a calm, predictable environment where he can relax and feel secure. He would do best in an adult-only home. Gizmo does not respond positively to children and needs a quieter setting to feel comfortable. Gizmo shows clear food aggression during meals and treat time. Out of food-related situations, he is such a sweet boy. He is currently intact and has no known health concerns. He is house and crate trained and loves his treats. He belonged to our grandfather who has recently experienced a major health event and can no longer care for him. I have small children in my home and having him here has been challenging. Gizmo would thrive as the only pet or in a home prepared to carefully manage introductions and feeding. He's looking for a patient, confident owner to call his own.
