About Marigold

Marigold & Artimus were picked up by Animal Control Officers on 2/18/26 after reports of 2 dogs abandoned at Scherer Park. Marigold presents herself as a very well-mannered & gentle-natured senior Rottweiler Lab / Rottador Retriever mix, while Artimus is a very energetic & spunky little Terrier that prefers being walked on a harness over a normal leash & collar. While staff & volunteers at the shelter were hopeful Marigold & Artimus were placed in the dog park for safe keeping as strays, no owners have ever stepped forward leaving them both in need of places to call home. Due to their size they're in separate kennels on opposite sides of the shelter, while they do enjoy their time together they do not appear to be bonded and can be adopted/rescued separately. While Artimus will likely find a home rather quickly since he's a small dog (always in high-demand), Marigold will need a lot of help from the Senior-Dog & Rottweiler Fan-Club communities to help her find the right home through rescue or adoption.
