About Honeypot

Help!!! In danger since am considered a longer-term dog at the shelter and also brought in by my human (poor health), meaning when it gets over-capacity, which it often does, tragically I may be made to 'disappear', be gotten rid of. Also, since I need to be the only doggie in the home since prefer to be the queen of the house, doggie wise, it increases my chance of being on that tragic 'disappearing' list. I literally have 3 strikes against me!!! Please don't let that happen to me, have so much life left to live, so much love left to give. Am a good girl. The volunteers say I like everyone I meet and not shy about showing my affection with kisses. I came in with a bloody tail, which has now healed. They think I hurt my tail from being caged up so much. Also, came in skinny, so was not being fed enough by my human, but am filling out slow and steady. Like to snuggle with the volunteers, but not enough of that, since so, so many doggies here, not enough volunteers. I am sweet, goofy, and affectionate. I have a pretty good sit, but sometimes am on the jumpy side. Am treat motivated, so can easily teach me to be less jumpy. My sweetheart volunteer says, I am a great dog, easy to handle, and a great entry level dog. Even though life has been on the tough side, the volunteers say I haven't lost my happy disposition. Please come visit me. Maybe fall in love with me, I with you. Take me home? Come. Human speaking here, please, please, if have the ability to adopt, even foster (different process-which I can explain), Honeypot, any of the dogs listed at the shelter on here, many more that aren't listed, come out to Chicago Animal Care and Control, to meet them. These dogs aren't 'just' at risk of being euthanized, tragic on its own, but spend most of their time in their kennels. It shows what great dogs they are, that they are able to still continue to be great, even though caged up so much. Please, come out.
