Life certainly isn't a snap for this sweet boy right now. Snap is a shy, gentle soul who's still learning that the world doesn't have to be such a scary place. When he first arrived at the shelter, everything felt overwhelming - so much so that staff and volunteers lovingly carried him to the play yards those first few times. With patience, kindness, and a whole lot of encouragement, Snap is starting to come out of his shell. He's gaining confidence day by day and has even begun to show little moments of play. It may be small, but for Snap, it's a big deal. Snap is very sweet and friendly, just cautious. When introduced to a play group, he politely accepted greetings from the other dogs, then chose to keep some distance - not out of dislike, but because he knows his own limits and wants to feel safe. Snap would thrive in a calm, understanding home with someone willing to move at his pace and celebrate the quiet victories. In return, you'll get a loyal, gentle companion whose trust will mean everything. Snap is approximately 8 months old, weighs 34 lbs., is neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested and vaccinated. If you believe love, patience, and a soft approach can change a life, Snap is waiting for you at Citrus County Animal Services, 4030 S. Airport Rd., Inverness, FL. ID#60268880
