About Ranger

This is one of the hardest things we've ever had to write. ���� We are looking to rehome our 3-year-old dog, Ranger. Ranger is a neutered Black Lab/Pit Bull mix who is fully up to date on all vaccinations. He is completely house-trained, crate-trained, and responds reliably to commands. He's a smart, trainable dog who does best with structure and routine. Once Ranger bonds with you, he is incredibly loyal and affectionate. He truly thinks he's a lap dog and loves nothing more than cuddling up close after a good play session. He has a lot of energy and absolutely loves playing fetch - he could go for hours. Ranger thrives with an active person who can give him regular exercise and space to run. Ranger does struggle with trust and can be wary of new people. He needs slow, patient introductions and an experienced, confident owner who understands boundaries and canine body language. He has shown reactive behavior in the past, especially if he feels startled or uncomfortable, such as when someone approaches him unexpectedly. Because of this, he cannot be placed in a home with children or other animals. Ranger needs to be the only pet in a calm, adult-only household. With consistency, leadership, and continued training, Ranger has so much potential and so much love to give. This decision has not been made lightly - we love him deeply - but our priority is making sure he is in the right environment where he can feel secure and truly thrive.
