About Ben

Ben is a sweet and loveable soul who needs a relaxed and chill environment to match his desire for serenity. He wants a loyal companion who can offer him a quiet space, consistent walking/hiking, lots of petting and treats galore. He is crate trained, house trained, and does not chew or destroy anything. He knows basic commands and walks like a champ! Ben has low to medium energy. He loves his daily walks, but after that is content to chill and sleep around the house. He loves laying in sunny spots in the house and is very food motivated. He especially loves jumping in the creek and will play tug of war on a big stick. Ben would thrive in a home with low stimulation and consistent love and attention. He could be a loving companion for a family or individual who would want a good combination of chill and walk time. He would not do well in a household with consistent visitors coming in and out and would need patient introductions to new children and visitors. He has not been around other pets, so unsure of how he would do. He sleeps all night in his crate and walks well on a leash and can use a gentle lead for easy walking. He gets stressed with visitors, especially men and needs to take his time to warm up with new people in the home. He has not nipped, but can bark periodically at visitors, struggling to relax. However, he does great with meeting peole out on walks and in other environments outside the home. Ben does not liked to be touched near his hind legs. He is up to date on his vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. He gets anxious with nail trimmings and being handled in his hind areas due to a car crash in his early life in Mexico. He has healed and recovered and shows no signs of current injuries. We are devastated to let him go, but would want an environment that he can thrive in. We would love to share his dog bed and travel crate to a loving individual/family.
