Black velvet male chinchilla -- 'Toby' Born 2014-2015 -- 11-12 years old Surrendered -- 1/31/2026 --active dude --can be a bit of a challenge to pick up sometimes --once he's in your arms, he will chill with you, at least for short periods of time --when set down, he does enjoy exploring and checking things out (he had his own room and playtime in his previous home, and really enjoyed this!) --sweet boy --still has plenty of life left in him! you'd never know his age if someone didn't tell you (though, not squirm-ball bouncing off the walls, still very handle-able) --pretty chill while being handled --does pretty well with being handled and petted --good mix of calm when being held, but still with some energy to explore and do things --will occasionally hop right *into* your arms when you reach for him (not sure if this is his intention or not lol, but hey, it works!) --sweet boy!
