About Hobbes

Hobbes is a loyal, affectionate 'gentle giant' who bonds deeply with his person. He is fully vaccinated, microchipped, house trained, crate trained, and has completed extensive professional training (private training + board-and-train). He is calm and quiet in the home, sleeps much of the day, and enjoys daily walks (1-2 miles), exploring new scents, and relaxing in the sun. He settles easily and can be left home alone without issue. Hobbes is safe and loving with adults and has been around children without concern. He wants to be close. He wants to lean into you. He wants to sit in the sun like a big belly Buddha, eyes closed, completely at peace. He greets visitors with excitement but relaxes quickly. He does not bark excessively and is deeply people-oriented. On walks, he lights up when he discovers a new scent or something unfamiliar. Curiosity animates him. He loves to explore the world slowly. When you're sick, he knows, and he stays. Watching him sleep, paws twitching as he dreams, you can't help but think: that's my guy. Everyone who meets him falls for him.
