Hi! I'm Cappuccino! I was found on the city streets in Northside of Richmond, Virginia. I was taken in by a kind soul who has gotten me healthy and given me confidence over the last few months. My forever home preferably has a yard because I'm 75lbs, fun and energetic! I'm loyal and know basic commands but I need someone with the ability to get me properly trained in other areas. I love attention, belly rubs and food! Always know I'll do anything for a good treat! I'm desperately looking to get out of the city and into a home of a dog lover that has the time and space to take care of me properly! I was neutered and received all the required shots. I also got my DNA tested. Turns out I'm 50% German Shepherd, 25% American Bulldog and 25% American Bully! I come with toys, harness, and all paperwork from vaccinations. I'm a very good boy and I'm excited to find my forever home! How does your pet react to visitors? Friendly, and has never been aggressive. There has been times where he has shown to be fearful towards men by barking and retreating when doing so. As soon as a person gives him a treat he is fine. He has met a lot of strangers/friends/family in my apartments. Has no issues with people on the street on walks. How does your pet react to other animals? Is a frustrated greeter. Is reactive when seeing other dogs on leash or through the window. Whines, and does the high pitch barking and gets very excited. Recently has met the neighbors dogs through a fence (nose to nose) and it was friendly. Has shown to have a prey drive when seeing cats and squirrels. Describe any behavior issues that you have observed from your pet: Will eat anything left unattended on the counter if I'm away. Reactive on leash when seeing other dogs, but not aggressive. Frustrated Greeter. Prey drive towards cats. Wary of some men, but has never attacked. Will retreat. I live in a small 1bedroom apartment in the middle of downtown Richmond and work long, stressful nights as a bartender. I never had the intent to have a dog knowing my busy schedule and lifestyle. He is overstimulated by the city life and needs a yard and a family who has time for him! I took him in to help but now it has become extremely overwhelming for me, and he spends most of his time alone. This has greatly affected my mental health. He is a really good dog and is trainable but I cant afford training and I dont have the time and energy to do it myself. I got him neutered and vaccinated through a program for richmond residents to help with him being rehomed. Thank you!!
