About Peaches!!!

Updated (2/22) Meet Peaches! This sweet girl is sure to melt your heart from the moment you meet her! She was found on February 19, suspected to have been dumped. She's a bit too skinny and was pretty skittish for a day or two. By Saturday, she was beginning to come out of her shell a little, and by today (Sunday), she's really changed! In a good way! She loves to run and play (though she's still figuring out what toys are), and she loves to play with ice. She'll pounce on it and kick it around, chasing it. She can be a little nervous around men at times, but she comes out of her shell quickly and hasn't shown aggression. She did, however, growl at me a couple times when she first got here but that was my fault for pushing boundaries when she was scared. Now, she's happy as a clam! She does well with kids and other dogs, but she hasn't been cat tested yet. Her favorite things are warm beds, cuddles, and playing. Do keep in mind, though, this girl can JUMP. A four foot fence WILL NOT contain her. She'll need something taller or a leash. She is very good in leash. Peaches needs her nails trimmed, as I haven't gotten that done yet, but she has been bathed. She does not have a chip. Estimated to be a little on the older side. Not super old, maybe 4-6? But she's very sweet and so full of life and would make an incredible companion. She's got gorgeous markings and once she gains a little weight, she'll be a beautiful dog. She's likes to counter surf, by the way, so she'll need training for that. But, she knows how to sit! She has been around six kids, ages ranging from 21 months to 14 years, and done incredibly. She's been around three dogs, two females and one neutered male and done well. She growled at them when there was a barrier (baby gate) but when we introduced them on leash, they did amazing (same dog both times). She's so sweet and has so much love to give, she just needs the right person/family. If a foster/adopter isn't found soon, she'll have to go to the shelter.
