About Buddy

Meet Buddy, a one year old, 7 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in Rockwell, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. 02/24/2026 PupDate: FEMALE ONLY FAMILY for sweet Buddy. He is only a year old and somewhere in his short life he has become fearful of men. He has warmed up to his foster mom and with lots of love and patience you will have a best friend for life. We are anxious to see this boy settled in and start the new life he deserves This precious 1 year old boy is looking for a very special family that is able to give him the attention and love that he has been searching for��%BD'��%BD| Buddy came into United Yorkie Rescue from a family that rescued him at 6 weeks old from a hoarding situation and for some reason little Buddy has been afraid to reach out and let himself be loved by others. He has adjusted very well to his foster mom but is afraid and reluctant to be loved by foster dad and other males. When these babies come into rescue we can't always see their past but look to their future with a new family to help them see that the world has love and let them be free of their past to play and snuggle like Yorkies love to do. Since Buddy is only a 1 year old with the perfect family that knows that patience and gentle training he would be the love of your life. It will take a family that is a single mom that would love his companionship or someone who understands the Yorkie personality and has had previous experience and the time and patience to help a sweet boy like Buddy. Buddy was with 2 other dogs at his previous home...we aren't sure how he will be around children. He has been neutered, is up to date on vaccines, and loves to go for walks.
