This is Anubis He is a 3 year old husky/doberman mix (most likely). He came into my life unexpectedly when I met him at a relative's house-mostly kept in a laundry room and starving. He was so sweet and just wanting to be loved and cuddled, I couldn't bear to leave him in that situation, so I asked to take him. I had every intention to keep him, but had no idea at the time that I would be forced to sell my house 6 months later. Moving from a big house with 24/7 access to a yard and multiple people in the home to a small one bedroom apartment has been a challenge. More of a challenge that I had hoped. He wasn't socialized in his life before me and I attempted bring him around other dogs/ take him to a dog daycare with trainers that were available to help guide behaviors but he unfortunately had a hard time understanding cues from other dogs and I was told he want a good fit. I work long shifts as a nurse and feel awful about having to keep him alone and cooped up in an apartment for so many hours and my options are now limited. As much this hurts my heart and how I'm wanting to make it work, I just don't feel like either of us are thriving. So, I'm looking to rehome him. Anubis is a lover boy. Loves to cuddle and be loved on by his people. He's moderate energy, mostly chill with bursts of zooms here and there. He loves to tug of war and play with squeaky toys. He's great on a leash and friendly with dogs on walks, not aggressive at all (he just mounts when he gets too excited). He was fixed last June. He is nervous with new people, but a couple treats and a few pets down on his level he warms right up. He is great with kids, is so well behaved on car rides- I think he'd make a great family dog. He would also do great with a person who works from home. He's house trained, knows simple commands, a very smart boy. He does not like a kennel from my experience with him so far. He has all his vaccines. He is a free house roamer and as long as there's no food or trash for him to get into, he does great with this. He really is such a good boy. I really want to vet the right fit for him and I intend to keep him until I do. He deserves a loving forever home. If you're interested in meeting him please call or text (text preferred) (360) 953 2628.
