About BISCUIT

BISCUIT is a 1-year-old, 11.4 pound Chihuahua mix with the cutest little face who was found as a stray. His finder searched diligently for an owner but no one came for him. If you're looking for a fun little companion with personality, energy, and lots of love to give, Biscuit may be your perfect match! BISCUIT has quickly proven himself to be a total cuddle bug. He absolutely loves people and would happily spend hours in your lap, often upside-down, soaking up attention. He's very affectionate, generous with kisses, and still very much a playful baby at heart with adorable bouncy energy when he gets excited. BISCUIT has been well socialized with both people and other dogs and has done great meeting new friends. He may be fine as an only dog if his person is home often and can give him plenty of exercise, attention, and companionship, but he would also love a furry friend. Cats are unknown. He has shown quite a bit of interest in chickens at his foster home, which suggests a healthy prey drive, so caution would be needed around small animals or birds. We do not know how he would be with kids but with his friendly and affectionate nature we believe older kids would be okay. BISCUIT walks nicely on a leash, rides great in the car, and handles outings confidently. He could still use some consistency with house training, and a home with a predictable routine (and fewer competing male pups) will likely help him succeed quickly. Because he was found as a stray, we would prefer that he goes to a home with a fenced yard. At night, BISCUIT is all about the snuggles. He loves sleeping in the big bed, usually under the covers between his foster parents or tucked along his foster mom's side. BISCUIT is neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, has had a ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. *To meet or adopt one of our dogs, you must first submit an adoption application for review. We adopt within a 6 hour drive to Pensacola. Puppies and dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral or medical issues are only adoptable locally (within 1 hour to Pensacola).
