Pilot is a 2 year old neutered HuskyxCattle Dogx Pyrenees (dna tested) mix who is the definition of a velcro dog. If he could crawl in your skin he would, if he could force you to pet him until your arm falls off, he would pick up that arm and be offended you weren't still petting him. Pilot came to me about a year ago, with bilateral pelvis fractures, severely underweight and with an embedded collar. We've done behavior and physical rehab for a year and he's been cleared by a canine orthopedist (quote: 'his hips are awesome and there is zero damage or expected issues') and is ready for a new landing pad. Pilot is a really good boy who is house broken, kennel trained, good with cats, and excellent with friendly female dogs. He's also very good around horses. He is somewhat shy when first meeting new people but easily won over with treats. He is crate trained, and loves long walks with a prong collar (he was initially loose leash trained but I have fallen pit of keeping this up). He's wicked smart, has basic obedience, chews on appropriate toys, loves and cares for his stuffed toys and rides very well in the car. He's not perfect, but pretty close! He's not a super fan of large pushy male dogs (tensely gets along with my male Shepherd) but very good with little dogs. He is a Houdini. If there is a way to escape a fenced yard, he's finding it- although he does tend to stay very close and also comes back pretty quick He can be shy around new people but with another confident female dog and some treats he figures it out pretty quick I wouldn't recommend young children for him. He's done well with ones he has met but does get nervous and gives stress signals. Older dog savvy kids/teens would be good. He does well with cats and will sleep with them on the bed/couch. Occasionally he fox hops at them or chases them but is easily interrupted. He loves to have something to do, but is just as cool with laying around all day doing nothing (as long as there is petting involved). He's also traveled and lived well in a very small (10 foot) camper and is just happy to be included. He is UTD on vaccines and was neutered 2 months ago. At his last check up he was 61 lbs. Initially I planned on foster failing him, but my older Shepherd and him have gotten into some fights and are just not happy cohabitating (larger more dominant male) however he loves my female shepherd and is very submissive and plays very well with her.
