About Moose

Moose is a highly intelligent, loyal German Shepherd who is well behaved in our home environment with both adults and children he is familiar with. He is affectionate, responsive to structure, and does best when he understands expectations and routine. Moose has received professional training and thrives with clear leadership and consistency. He can be slow to warm up to new people and will need time and patience to build trust with a new handler. Because of this, we recommend placement in an adult-only home with an experienced owner who understands working breeds and is willing to give him the time needed to adjust. Once comfortable, Moose is eager to bond and work with his person. For example, it took approximately two training sessions with his professional trainer before he became comfortable and began responding positively. Moose has a strong prey drive and should not be placed in a home with small animals.
