Hello, I'm reaching out to ask about owner-assisted rehoming or rescue placement for our 1.5-year-old Rottweiler, Tank. We are located in Fort Collins, Colorado. Tank is a loving, energetic young Rottweiler who does well with other dogs and currently lives peacefully with our 10-year-old dog. They play and coexist without issues. He has also been around children; while he is not aggressive, he can be a bit rough due to his size and energy, which is something we manage closely. With a baby on the way, we've had to make the very difficult decision to look for a home that can give Tank the time, consistency, and training he deserves. He gets three walks a day and is crate-trained at night, but he would truly thrive with someone experienced with large working breeds who can continue his training. Behavior notes (being fully transparent): Energetic and strong; benefits from structure Counter-surfs Leash-reactive to vehicles (lunging, not aggression) Had some mild food guarding in the past, which has improved with boundaries Has destroyed beds/blankets in his crate, likely from excess energy or frustration Tank is affectionate, people-oriented, and eager to please. We truly want to see him placed in a patient, committed home where he can succeed long-term. We are happy to keep Tank in our home while placement is arranged and can provide vet records, photos, and any additional information needed. Thank you so much for the work you do and for considering Tank. Sincerely, Bailey
