I'm Phoenix, a fun-loving, super goofy male Red Doberman who will be turning 2 years old this August, basically I'm in my prime zoomie era! My mom says I've got something called Von Willebrand Disease (VWD) which just means my blood doesn't clot like other pups. Because of that, my vet recommended that I not be neutered, but don't worry, it doesn't stop me from living my best life! ��%BD�� A Few Cool Things About Me * I know my basics: sit, stay, come, and down * I LOVE learning - commands! For example, touch, get it, and focus would be super easy for me to master * I don't walk great on a leash (because my recall is *awesome), but my mommy can help teach me if that's important to you * I'm not a big barker��%BD'��%BD| but if something's off outside, I'll absolutely let you know ��%BD��%BD��%BD'��%BD * I make a pretty awesome first-alert dog bc I hear everything ��%BD��%BD%8F��%BD Home & Crate Life I'm crate trained and do really well as long as I: * Stay on a routine * Get plenty of exercise outside My crate is an **L-XL (42-46 in.)**, which is honestly bigger than I need��%BD'��%BD| but hey, I like to stretch my legs like royalty ��%BD��%BD��%BD��%BD ��%BD��%BD��%BD��%BD A Little More About Me * I am very spoiled by my family (as I should be) * I was originally going to be a detection dog, but because of my medical condition, that career path didn't work out * I can jump really high, but I don't clear 4-5 ft fences because I'm happy staying home with my people ��%BD��%BD� My Only Big Ask You **must** give me: * Love * Training * Exercise If I don't get those things��%BD'��%BD| well��%BD'��%BD| I *might* consider going on a solo adventure ��%BD��%BD��%BD��%BD If you're looking for a loyal, hilarious, smart protector who will keep you laughing and safe, I'm your guy. * I am not a dog to be left outside for long periods. My mommy will ask a lot of questions about how I will be living and she is no rush to let me go because I am her angel. She wants me to be with a family that is active and LOVES me. I will require someone that has experience with dog training. Not because I'm a lot, but because even though I know commands, I am a big boy and like to jump when I get excited and some people will get angry at me when all I need is clear direction. Also, I do not do the best with chickens and ducks��%BD'��%BD| I'm not sure about cats? I don't mind watching the ducks and chickens but if they get near me I get too excited.
