About Penelope

This beautiful girl is Penelope and she is a 30lb 2-year-old Australian Cattle Dog/Corgi mix. She is an amazingly sweet, affectionate pup who bonds closely with her people and loves being part of the action. Penelope is incredibly smart and eager to learn. She is currently in a 3-month professional training program where she is mastering her basics like sit, stay, leave it, play dead, and more. She truly enjoys having a job and thrives with structure and positive reinforcement. She will be ready for her new home once she completes her training. (Her training completes in about a month or so). Penelope is house trained spayed vaccinated and microchipped. She loves attention, praise, and being someone's loyal sidekick. After she's had her exercise and some mental stimulation, she is more than happy to settle in for cuddles and quality time. Penelope will need to be the only dog in her home. She has history of in-home dog aggression and will need someone experienced with her breed and temperament. Because she is a Cattle Dog mix, she will need a home that can provide plenty of daily mental and physical exercise. Walks, hikes, training games, and enrichment activities will help her continue to thrive. Penelope is looking for a committed adopter who understands working breeds and is excited to continue building on the strong foundation she's receiving in training. She has so much potential and will make an incredibly loyal and loving companion in the right home. A home visit and vet reference will be required for her adoption.
