He was found starving on the streets of Memphis, doing his best to survive on his own. Since coming into foster care, Blaze has shown everyone just how resilient and loving he really is. Now that he knows what safety and a full belly feel like, he's ready to find a home of his own. Blaze is a sweet, affectionate boy who enjoys being around his people and settles nicely once he feels comfortable. He has a playful side but isn't overly hyper, and he appreciates a calm environment where he can relax and feel secure. Training & Manners Crate trained Leash trained Currently working on house training and improving every day Keeps a good routine in foster care Blaze responds well to structure and consistency and will continue to thrive with patient guidance. Socialization Good with children Dog selective - prefers calm, low-energy dogs Cats: Unknown Other animals: Unknown Because of his past food insecurity, Blaze must be fed separately from other pets. He can resource guard food, which is understandable given his history, and this is easily managed with proper feeding routines. What Makes Blaze Special Blaze is one of those dogs who reminds you how strong dogs can be. Despite everything he's been through, he remains gentle, loyal, and eager to connect with people. He bonds deeply once he trusts you and truly enjoys being part of a home environment. He stands out because of his resilience. Watching him learn that he doesn't have to worry about his next meal anymore has been incredible. Blaze is looking for someone who understands that rescue dogs sometimes need a little patience at first, but the reward is a fiercely loyal companion. Ideal Home Blaze would do best in a home that: Provides structure and routine Feeds pets separately Has calm or low-energy canine companions, or as an only dog Is committed to continuing his house training and confidence building
