About Little Man

Little Man's story began in a place no dog should ever know. He came from a hoarding situation-one where love was scarce, fear was constant, and dogs were seen as numbers instead of lives. When he entered the shelter system, Little Man was scheduled to be euthanized since he was not socialize and was a fear biter. But Fur-get Me Not Canine Rescue saw him. Little Man didn't come to us loud or demanding. He came to us quiet, unsure, and carrying the kind of heartbreak you only see in dogs who once trusted and were let down. This 25-lb neutered male Cattle Dog 4 year old is fully house-trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and does well with other dogs. He's easy in the home and gentle in spirit but what Little Man truly needs is someone willing to meet him where he is. Little Man is learning that hands can be kind again. He needs a patient, compassionate adopter who understands that trust isn't instant, it's built slowly, softly, and with love. He may never be a cuddler, but his devotion runs deep. He will follow you from room to room, always close, always watching, choosing you in the quietest way. He takes treats gently from your hand, each one a small step forward in believing again. And in the mornings, when the world is calm, Little Man leans into gentle head rubs his favorite way to say......I'm trying. I want to trust.
