Meet Chance, He is a year-old boy with a lot of love to give. He has the sweetest disposition and has never met a stranger. His Story: Chance was left abandoned at a dog daycare and needed a home. A kind soul at the facility took him into their home but knew they wouldn't be able to keep him, so they put him up for adoption. We found him and believed we could give him a home. His Characteristics: Chance has many attributes that make him a great dog. %BD' Does not pull while walking %BD' Knows SIT/SHAKE %BD' Great at taking a bath %BD' When feeding- he will stay in a PLACE command until released %BD' Loves cats- currently living with two %BD' Does not have a prey drive - the rabbits in our backyard are safe %BD' Loves water- great fishing buddy %BD' Very athletic %BD' Loves people- he is not fearful of new people %BD' Loves other dogs %BD' Love to cuddle %BD' Not much of a barker %BD' Confident - new surroundings and sounds do not bother him. We are looking to find him a new home because his energy and style of play do not fit our household. We had a different idea of what a Rottweiler personality should be but have spoken to breeders and found that he is typical of the current breed temperament. Like his namesake from Homeward Bound, Chance does have some mischievous behaviors: %BD' Will eat his poo if not supervised %BD' Will destroy most toys that are given to him %BD' Although getting better, still has accidents in his kennel from time to time %BD' Will grab dogs' tails while playing - he doesn't seem to know that it's not good etiquette %BD' He has a muzzle- not due to aggression but due to keeping him from eating pebbles while camping on a tie-down. %BD' He is a licker- will lick hands when wanting attention Chance needs someone who can better appreciate his playful, energetic personality. As a result of us having very strict behavior standards, we are constantly telling him 'NO.' We realize that not everyone is so inflexible and could give him a better quality of life than we can.
