About Trixie

TRIXIE- 19 year-old ~15hh Criollo mare - companion/pasture pet only. Trixie was lovingly surrendered in November 2025 when her family was unable to keep her. She has good manners for the vet and farrier, and absolutely loves children and other horses. Trixie is a retired polo pony and was sold from a lesson program because she had more go than whoa. She was found to have ringbone during a pre-purchase x-ray by her last home, but is barefoot and comfortable. She has been retired as a riding horse since 2023, but has not required any medication or maintenance to remain pasture sound. Trixie is the sweetest horses and makes an excellent companion, currently sharing a field with pony Willow. She prefers a 24/7 turnout set-up. Asking $100 donation to an approved home with contract with a minimum 60 day trial period. Adopter must be located within an eight (8) hour drive of Wall, NJ.
