Meet Burrito! Straight from the Yuma Humane Society, Burrito is an 9-10 year old, 19 pound gentleman with fluff, depth, and main character energy. He is slightly round. Slightly seasoned. Slightly wiser than the average bear. And yes. He is entering his middle aged fitness era. The Health Glow Up Burrito has been diagnosed with Cushing's Disease and a collapsing trachea. Both are manageable with lifelong medication, and he is doing much better now. The rescue will even sponsor half the cost of his medications for the first year. He also has a cataract in one eye and is likely mostly blind on that side. He handles it like a champ. He simply turns his good side toward the action. Iconic behavior. Weight management is part of his long term plan, and he has fully committed. His leash walking is excellent. He is increasing his daily steps and casually considering a senior dog 5K. At his pace. With snack breaks. Personality Profile Burrito does not rush into relationships. He does not leap in with all four paws. He is discerning He might swipe right. But he believes in a moderate pace connection. He can be a little aloof at first, but once he feels safe, his sweetness comes through. He builds rapport one step at a time. When he chooses you, it means something. He is good with dogs of all sizes and carries himself with quiet confidence. Manners and Home Life He walks beautifully on leash.
