About Shubam

Introducing Shubam (aka Shoobi). He is sweet kitty who had to come into our care after his owner passed away. Shoobi is a friendly cat, but he's the independent type. He is happy to receive pets if you're handing them out, but he doesn't usually go looking for love. He's just happy to sit in his favourite bed next to you while you're watching TV or working on the computer. Shoobi has lived most of his life with other cats, and it's clear that he would love another cat to spend time with. He came to us with his friend, Nyx, and the two of them get along, but they aren't bonded and they don't really interact. They could be adopted together, but Shoobi might be happier to have a friend that is more his speed. He's very curious about the other cats in his foster home (whom he's only met under the door so far.) Shoobi is just over 1 year old and might do really well with another young kitty that he can play with. However, he's not very rough and tumble, he tends to be fairly laid back. He will play with wand toys and balls, but he plays for a short while and they finds a sun spot to relax in. Shoobi has no experience with dogs thus far. He was reported to be around children in his previous home, but we have not seen him interact with anyone under 10 years old. So far he seems comfortable with the pre-teen in his foster home, although he's not a fan of being picked up.
