Are you looking for a sweet, happy, 7-year-old, 11-pound gremlin who is crate-trained, house-trained, and hilarious? Meet Rio! Rio came to me as an emergency foster. His owner, a 17-year-old girl who adopted him as a puppy when she was 10, ended up on her own and was told that her new living situation would no longer allow her to keep him. He has since gotten all of his shots and a clean bill of health! Rio emerges from his crate (where he sleeps quietly all night) with enthusiasm every morning. He loves to be outside where he is mostly content to roll around in the grass, sunbathe, trot around, and bark at squirrels. He loves car rides! Rio is pretty independent, and also gets along well with my 20-lb dog. He is not food aggressive or resource guarding. He likes to sit with his people, and he checks in with us frequently throughout the day. He also walks on his hind legs with when he's interested in what is on the table, which is highly entertaining! Rio has maintained his joy amidst what must be a frightening time for him. Rio deserves the best forever home!
