SHELTER IS FULL and puts many chow and chow mixes on their euth list suddenly. CAT FRIENDLY, SHY WITH OTHER DOGS AND PEOPLE INITIALLY, CHOW EXPERIENCE RECOMMENDED Please help us find a good home or foster and rescue for this adorable, little young girl who was brought in as owner surrender with no reason given. However, the owner left very favorable notes and seems to have had her since a newborn. The notes state, 'GREW UP WITH A CAT AND GETS ALONG WELL WITH THE CAT. TIMID AROUND OTHER DOGS, DOESN'T BARK AT THEM. HIDES BETWEEN SOURCE'S LEGS WHEN OTHER DOGS APPROACH. VERY TIMID WITH PEOPLE. WARMS UP WHEN PEOPLE GIVE HER TREATS. SOURCE CALLS HER THE COWARDLY LION, SUPER TIMID BUT VERY SWEET AND KIND. NO AGGRESSION.' The owner also stated she lived both indoors and outdoors, is potty trained, and was crated when unattended, but otherwise free roaming and no destruction noted. There were no noted medical issues and she is said to walk on leash and knows how to stay when commanded. At only 30 lbs, Nova is perfectly sized, although likely underweight, and said to be only 1.5 years old. Additionally, she has good behavior notes at the shelter, and is noted as '02/12/2026 Dog was laying down by door; soft stare at handler; sniffs towards hand; relaxed remains laying down; quiet'.
