Posted February 12, 2026 Sheldon is a 3-4 year old male, blonde, Shih Tzu, who weighs 12 pounds. He was Part of an Owner Surrender group of Shih Tzu who had been used for breeding. Sheldon is very quiet, calm, and still very shy. He does approach you for attention and is curious about his new life. Sheldon does not appear to be house trained, and we suspect he lived in a cage. This is all very new to him. Sheldon has been neutered, fully vetted to include a Dental. When Sheldon was at the vet, our vet discovered to her hernia that needed to be repaired. Sheldon has three different areas with stitches. He would benefit from a quiet foster home during his recovery. It would need to be a fenced yard or someone willing to have the patience to help potty train and leash train Sheldon. He is a very special little boy. He is 100% vetted and ready to go. His fecal was negative and he was heartworm negative. We are always looking for foster homes for our rescued hearts sweeties. Maybe your home can be one of them.
