Thor and Loki are brothers that I adopted from a shelter 8 or 9 years ago. We picked friendly, neutered, black male cats that looked like teenagers, so young but not kittens, and therefore less likely to be adopted and had been there for months. We are moving overseas and our friends there are deathly allergic to cats, so I am heart-broken that I cannot keep them. Thor is an energetic, sweet cat who loves to cuddle in a lap or sleep at the top of a cat tree. He is often happy to greet people to see if they will pet him. If you sit still long enough, he sometimes will give cat licks to groom you and tell you you're part of his family. He will wrestle his stuffed taco-shaped cat toy and want you to toss it to him again. Loki is the big brother that is often found sitting like a loaf. He sometimes looks like he has resting grumpy-cat face but is happy for attention and will start purring when petted. Many times he likes to nap within sight of someone so you can keep an eye on each other, and often would sleep beside me for part of the night. Both cats can be picked up, snuggled, and carried to where you want them. They sometimes nap together all snuggled up. They have both been around two different golden retrievers, and grew up with my son who is now not quite a teenager. They like girl cats, but not all boy cats. They are used to coming and going outside with a pet door because we needed to let the dog go out when he needed to. I serve them canned food twice a day, and they eat side-by-side. (Total of 2 cans a day.) They have a dry cat food feeder that they graze on throughout the day without being fat, and a gravity-fed water bowl. They love Temptations treats.
