About Samantha

This pretty girl is SAMANTHA, a Yorkie mix but not sure what she is mixed with. She has a beautiful golden coat that is soft and she is a non-shedder. I am happy to see SAMANTHA running around playing and just having fun with her best play pal DORY. But SAMANTHA can be a velcro dog as she loves to follow me around and just be close but does not get in my way. SAMANTHA had an owner who wanted to surrender her to our very high kill shelter and when the shelter did not have any room, they simply put her on the streets of San Antonio, TX. She is just too sweet for that and would not have survived trying to care for herself. She tends to be a little submissive and easily rounds over on her back for belly rubs. She does well with baths and grooming. SAMANTHA is 3 years old and weighs 12 pounds, walks well on a leash, she does not get car sick and does not jump all over the seats like some dogs do, she stays in her place and looks out the window.
