About MIRACLE

MIRACLE is a 2 year old, 8 pound Chihuahua who was found as a stray last year. Her finder held onto her for several months looking for her family and then contacted us to see if we could take her so she could find a new home. MIRACLE is a sweet girl who settles in quickly and bonds closely with her person. She absolutely loves belly rubs, enjoys being near her favorite human, and is perfectly content relaxing beside you on the couch or in a chair. She's affectionate, gentle, and happiest when she feels connected to her people... the absolute perfect companion dog! MIRACLE has been fine around other little dogs but may also be good as an only dog where she can soak up all the attention. She enjoys calm companionship and doesn't need a lot of activity, just closeness and comfort. We have not had her around cats or kids to know how she would be with them but think she would prefer a home without young children. MIRACLE appears to be housebroken and has not had any accidents. She enjoys her fenced in yard but isn't a fan of being outside without her person. Since she was found as a stray we would prefer that she goes to a home with a fenced yard. We have not tested her on leash. On car rides, she's a little nervous at first, then inquisitive and then she'll settle in and lie down on the seat. At night, MIRACLE sleeps soundly curled up next to her person. She is currently being treated for a flea-related skin condition, and is getting once a week medicated baths. She has a few rough spots on her back, but with continued care these should keep improving. She is easy to bathe and enjoys the attention. MIRACLE is spayed, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, has had a ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. *To meet or adopt one of our dogs, you must first submit an adoption application for review. Important - check your spam folder for follow up questions and responses from our team. *A Place of Hope Rescue is a foster-based rescue located in Pensacola, Florida. We do not have a physical facility for visits. We adopt within a 6 hour drive to Pensacola. Puppies and dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral or medical issues are only adoptable locally (within 1 hour to Pensacola). We do not ship or transport our dogs.
