Charlie is a sweet, affectionate mini Aussie who bonds deeply with her people. Once she trusts you, she is incredibly loving and enjoys snuggling and being close. She does best with adults who understand her sensitive nature and can give her the structure and reassurance she needs. She is house trained and good with other dogs, though she can become a bit jealous and does best with clear boundaries and attention management. She is not leash trained yet and will need a patient adopter willing to continue training and provide consistent guidance. As a true herding breed, she has high energy and needs daily exercise and mental stimulation to thrive. She also experiences anxiety, especially around loud noises such as fireworks or sudden sounds, and is currently taking trazodone to help manage this. Due to her anxiety and stress around unpredictable movement and noise, she is not a good fit for a home with young children. She would do best in an adult-only or calm, low-chaos home with someone experienced with sensitive or herding breeds. She is vocal and barks frequently, particularly when overstimulated or anxious, so a home that understands and can work with this behavior is important. We are committed to finding her the right environment where she can feel safe, understood, and loved, and where she can truly thrive.
