About Willow

Willow's story is one of growth, patience, and second chances. She came to rescue as an owner surrender from South Carolina when her senior owner could no longer care for her. When Willow first arrived, she needed confidence-building with people, dogs, and new environments. With the help of a loving, heeler-savvy foster mom, Willow has made incredible progress. Today, Willow lives peacefully with four+ cats and sometimes even prefers their company over her foster dog friends. She's learned how to settle into a home environment and continues to show how much she values connection and stability. Willow is a classic heeler girl - smart, expressive, and opinionated. She may nip occasionally and will correct other dogs when needed, but she is dog- and cat-friendly with proper introductions. She thrives with structure, clear leadership, and an adopter who understands heeler traits and communication. She loves to run and play outdoors, but she's just as happy relaxing on the couch with her people. Willow does experience some separation anxiety, as expected with all the change she has experienced, though she has made significant improvements and continues to grow with consistency and reassurance. She truly offers the best of both worlds: adventure and downtime. Willow is looking for a confident, heeler-savvy home that will continue guiding her while giving her the love and stability she deserves.
