About JJ

Can anyone help to find a place for this sweet dog? He is a Pitbull that I recovered from a bad situation. I am now keeping him in a metal bldg in my back yard. The bldg is not heated (heat pump broke) however it IS insulated. I have an electric heater for him. I cannot tend to him solo. I am 67 years old and he is too much for me to keep. I have recruited help to walk him daily. He does not bark or chew things. He is very sweet and friendly even to strangers. Richmond animal services says chesterfield problem and chesterfield animal services tells me Richmond problem. Most rescue orgs and animal shelters are at full capacity in chesterfield and Richmond. They told me that no one would take him without rabies shot. With help I took him to get rabies shot at grant vet in chesterfield. He is about 6 years old. He still has his testicles. He was left at a rental and new tenants did not want him. They allowed him to run the streets and he was attacked by other dogs. My heart would not allow me to leave him in 10 degree weather. He is now safe and warm. But I have no fenced yard. When the weather changes I fear the bldg will become too hot. I don't want him to become a bait dog. Can anyone help me find someone to care for this gentle giant. I have already contacted RAL. His name is JJ.
