Pixel's journey began on the streets of Indiana, where he was rescued by Far Fetched Dog Rescue. His foster quickly noticed something special: this bright, driven Border Collie mix had the potential for search work. In September 2024, Pixel joined Category 5 K9's Shelter to Search program and passed all his screening tests with flying colors. But during training, we discovered he has a soft trachea, which means no high-intensity search work and only harnesses that avoid pressure on his throat. Now, at almost 3 years old and weighing 30 pounds, Pixel is channeling his smarts and enthusiasm into his new mission - finding a forever family.
