About Pierre

Pierre is a six year old French Bulldog who is bright, affectionate, and full of charm. He loves being with his people and thrives on human companionship. He is a true Velcro dog who wants to be close at all times and especially adores women. He also gets along well with men. Pierre is affectionate, playful, and easygoing, and he enjoys being an active part of the family. He does not bark much, but he is alert enough to make a good watchdog. Pierre does not require a lot of exercise and is content spending time indoors or outdoors. He would do well in an apartment setting or in a home with a nicely fenced yard. He is good on a leash and enjoys walks, though he could benefit from continued practice to improve his leash manners. He is potty trained and very intelligent. Pierre quickly learned how to use a dog door and responds well to structure and routine. Pierre sleeps in his crate all night. At bedtime, he may cry for approximately an hour before settling down, after which he does well through the night. He is very people oriented and does not do well when left alone for long periods. He can become anxious and would do best in a home where someone is often present or where he has another pet for companionship. Pierre gets along well with older children, women, and men. He was found around some cats but has not been formally tested with them. He has a confident, alpha type personality and does best with female dogs of any size, as long as they are not dominant.
