GUS has spent the last two years of his life in a shelter, and somehow, against all odds, his spirit was never broken. That alone says everything about the kind of dog he is. Living in a loud, stressful, overcrowded environment with limited personal attention takes a toll on most dogs�'�| but GUS is different. GUS is the definition of making lemonade out of lemons. He finds joy wherever he can, celebrates the small moments, and approaches life with resilience and optimism. He LOVES toys, especially stuffies and will happily entertain you by tossing them in the air and frolicking around with pure delight. GUS is also great with other dogs�'�|friendly, playful, and easygoing. After two years in the shelter, stepping into a foster home has been a whole new world for GUS. He welcomes the love, attention and comfort with all his heart. He is an excellent houseguest�'�|potty trained, welcoming to visitors and just happy to be there. GUS does wonderfully in his crate and seems to consider it a luxury�'�|cozy blankets, a favorite toy, relaxing music, and a long winter snooze. He's truly content. He knows his basic commands like sit, paw, lay and we suspect he has a few more tricks up his sleeve that he's saving for the right moment. Whoever adopts GUS will be rewarded with the joy of discovering all the layers of this special boy. He's likely known quite a bit of heartbreak, and now he's more than ready for someone to scoop him up and make up for lost time. Neutered/Vaccinated Located in private foster in CT.
