About Winter

Meet Winter - a 1-year-old, people-loving boy with a big heart and a strong desire to be part of a family. Friendly, affectionate, and eager to connect, Winter quickly wins over everyone he meets. He's crate trained, loves to cuddle, and will happily climb into your lap for rubs, scratches, and the occasional goofy neck nibble. Winter enjoys tug toys, tennis balls, and playful moments with kids, then settles nicely with a chew and stays close to his people. Athletic and focused, Winter has excellent potential for herding activities or dog sports. He's food motivated and already learning quickly in calm environments. Winter does have a strong prey drive and is not cat friendly, so he'll need a home without cats, chickens, or other small animals. Winter is doing great on learning leash manners. Leash walking can still become overstimulating for Winter, especially in busy or unfamiliar situations. He will benefit from continued structure, positive redirection, and confidence-building as he matures. Winter would thrive with an active foster or adopter who enjoys training and helping a young dog grow socially.
