I'm looking for a loving home for a 5-year-old female German Shepherd I recently rescued. She was found as a stray, and when I was able to locate her previous owner, I learned that she had come from a puppy mill situation. Because of that, I could not in good conscience return her to him and stepped in to make sure she was safe. She has had a rough start to life, but despite that, she is incredibly sweet and affectionate with people. She is: * House trained * Very gentle and loving with humans * A total snuggle bug who wants to be close to her person * Does well in a crate * Walks well on a leash She would do best as: * The only pet in the home (she does not do well with other dogs) * A companion for someone looking for a loyal, people-focused best friend Additional info: * Cat compatibility is unknown * She is heartworm positive, but treatment has already started * She is not spayed yet - will be available once spay is completed I will fully cover the remainder of her heartworm treatment and her spay. My only goal is to see her safe, loved, and finally given the life she deserves. Unfortunately, she isn't comfortable with my dogs, so I can't keep her-but I truly believe she would thrive in a calm home where she can be someone's whole world.
